Nicholson Kumwenda is a Chairman of Wealthnet Finance Public Limited Company, an accomplished entrepreneur and an investor. Nicholson is a holder of MSc in Architectural Studies from the University of Manchester (passed with distinction), a holder of BSc Architectural Studies from the University of Malawi (passed with distinction). In his own personal initiative he has acquired professional knowledge in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Investment, Business Management and Entrepreneurship. He is a high calibre investor who has built among others, SULSDEC Green Villages (real estate company), Techsoft Limited (an ICT Company), Wealthnet Finance Limited (a financial services company) and other businesses. As a Chairman of Wealthnet Finance PLC, he is responsible for the overall oversight of the company to ensure continued profitability and success of the company. As a patriot, Mr. Kumwenda, believes in doing business with honesty, transparency, accountability and integrity.
Symon is the Assistant Manager in assurance and advisory services department at PwC. He is responsible for leading teams and managing engagements at client sites. Symon is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM). Symon has an extensive 7 years audit experience in financial audits that covers the following industry sectors; public, consumer and industrial goods, manufacturing sectors.
In addition to managing clients and staff, Symon is an accredited trainer in PwC where he trains new hires and other staff members on various topics of concern.
Mr. Henry Kamowa is a seasoned business executive. He has vast and rich experience in banking, risk management and business growth having worked in different reputable organisations in senior positions. He is currently working for AHL Group PLC where he is responsible for Risk and Compliance Management of all the 6 companies in the Group. Before joining AHL Group PLC, Mr. Henry Kamowa worked for 4 different commercial banks in Malawi and his last position was Regional Commercial Manager for 3 years where as Head of a Cluster, he was responsible for business development, general management and risk management among others.
Mr. Henry Kamowa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration obtained from University of Malawi, The Polytechnic. He has also various certificates in Accountancy, Banking, Risk Management, Marketing and General Management having attended many courses both local and international in his 18 years career.
Mr. David Mhango is highly experienced in audits, accounting and automating accounting systems. He has ever designed, implemented and managed computerized accounting systems for various companies in Malawi. He has vast experience in running and managing Audit office and Teams, Finance and Accounts departments, Treasury and staff management. He is currently a Partner at Audit Consult, Lilongwe Office. Mr. David Mhango is a Chartered Accountant (CA-Mw) after obtaining professional qualification with the Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and he is also a holder of Bachelor of Commerce (Accountancy) obtained from the Malawi University, The Polytechnic. He also hold a Diploma in Business Studies obtained from the Malawi University, the Polytechnic.
Results oriented Project Manager with over twenty years’ experience in energy, construction and development. Strong background in Project Management, Engineering and Finance. Recognized for strong client orientation, and the ability to get consensus and galvanize action. Ability to analyse complex issues and produce an evidence-based recommendation for action. A dedicated team player who fits well in multicultural environments. Greshom Sichinga is a holder of Master of Science in Strategic Management obtained from the University of Derby and he is a registered Engineer in possession of BSc in Civil Engineering. He is also an ACCA Affiliate. He currently runs Structural Solutions – A Consulting Engineering firm and works as a Short Term Consultant for the World Bank Group. He has previously worked for Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM), Chirwa & Associates and LSC Brunette and Partners Consulting Engineers.
Dr. Chimwemwe Kumwenda a Medical Doctor, is currently working as a General Practitioner at Adventist Health Centre Lilongwe (AHCL). Dr. Kumwenda holds a Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS) degree from the University of Malawi, College of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science, with a major in Chemistry from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College. Dr. Kumwenda is currently studying for a Diploma and International Postgraduate degree in Child Health (DCH/IPPC) with the University of Sydney (online programme). Dr. Kumwenda has worked as a Medical Officer at Kamuzu Central Hospital in the Department of Internal Medicine and as a Quality Controller at Pharmanova Limited, before medical training. Dr. Kumwenda has been involved in a number of community work, currently working as a volunteer doctor at Dzaleka Refugee camp, under UNHCR and at LifeCare Foundation, Malawi, Dr. Kumwenda has also volunteered to work part time with Population Services International (PSI) and World Vision Malawi. Dr Kumwenda believes in working with determination and passion to get the best result.
Mr. Nthakomwa has got a hands-on experience person in Strategic Investment Planning, Promotion, Implementation and aftercare services; business development; Strategic Management Planning, Investment and Business Policy and Marketing. He initiated and conceptualized the Malawi Investment Forum brand. The fora attract an average participant base of 1,000 persons, with about 300 from across the globe. He presently works with the Malawi Investment and Trade Center (MITC) as Director of Investment Promotion and Facilitation. He is part of executive management of MITC and also provides leadership in human resource & financial management and administrative processes. Mr. Nthakomwa holds a Master of Science Degree in Strategic Management, Major in Marketing and minor in Agriculture, attained from Derby University (MIM Campus) and Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a major in accounting and a minor in Agriculture attained from Andrews University, Solusi Campus – Zimbabwe
Mr Happy Thengolose is a member of the Malawi Law Society having been admitted to practice law in 2009. He is currently Head of Compliance at Standard Bank Limited – Malawi responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring compliance risk management within the bank’s Risk management framework. He is also a part time lecture in company law, family law and law of contract at Shareworld University.
Mr Happy Thengolose is a holder of Bachelor of Laws (Honours) obtained in 2008 from the University of Malawi (Chancellor College). He is currently pursuing Master’s Degree in Business Administration with the University of Malawi – The Polytechnic.
